Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

Take your needle my child and
work at your pattern it will come out a

stitch at a time taken patiently.

The books arrived today from Amazon...and over the fence garden stuff.

YIPPEE...both on the same day...JOYFUL!!!!  The Ultimate Doily Book # 1185, with that gorgeous Gentle Wind Doily arrived yesterday. I did get 4 rows done, today with this n that going on..I hope to get another row in..maybe in the p/u line at school..I always take hook n yarn with me there...

I also got the " The Have More" Plan book which I ordered. This book was written in the 1940's, and has been reprinted with all of it's original content and pictures. It is about a couple who live in NY City with their child, who would now be in his 60's.  They decided they want a more self sustaining, simple life, and move to the country. They chronicle their story, there are plans, and diagrams, some old pictures ( which were new at
the time the book was written).  The idea of their simple but comprehensive book is to show you how you can do it too, whatever your means, or desired outcome.  Look on the sidebar in the Amazon if you want to take a peak at the book. The cover originally hooked me in, so Retro and Vintage.

Working in the yard today..we have the trellis up for the square foot garden..and I'll be planting on the w/e
I think. The danger of frost is about over for our area. I'll take a picture of the SQF when I get all the lovelies in...some are still pretty small...sunshine is what they need
