Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

The Guardian Angel

Take your needle my child and
work at your pattern it will come out a
rose by and by. Life is like that...one
stitch at a time taken patiently.

It is a sweet fragrance....and a simple joy

Honeysuckle...how lovely is the scent? I was reading a post another blogger had about making honeysuckle jelly...thoughts of the fragrant honeysuckle filled my senses this morning...and now I must have one again..It has been a long time since I have encountered the sweet fragrance..so lovely and seemingly so vintage...I read up on it a bit, attracts futterblys, and hummingbirds...a bonus.....today a trip to the nursery is in order...
it is a rainy day, and looking at the beauty and bounty of nature could be what the Dr ordered for me today...no yard work...just looking and embracing all lthe beauty that is nature...

Amen! My grandson's discovered how to enjoy the sweet nectar from honeysuckle. Remember how we used to try to pull that one little drop of sweetness out of the bloom? Happy Sunday!

Dear Faith...the simple joys are the very special ones. Our miniature lilac bush is so pretty and oh my...the wonderful fragrance is a simple pleasure...a cutting of it in a little old vintage jar that once held cream is on a little shelf at our kitchen sink. As the gentle breeze comes through the window...the sweet fragrance fills the air. A simple joy! Sunday Blessings ♥ Teri

I just sent my grandson home from spending the weekend with me. He said he had the best weekend ever. We did nothing special, just spending time with him was joyful enough. So yes just the little things we do, say, and enjoy, are just some of the simple pleasures in life. How is the doily coming?

I love wild honeysuckle! Such a sweet fragrance, and it looks so pretty. I wish it grew in Florida. You have a sweet blog and I enjoyed seeing your crochet too.
