Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

Christmas Tree ... from hook n yarn

Greetings All !

Tis a frosty day in my neck of the woods, it been a frosty week in fact, today the sun is out, and the temperature is 10 degrees as I write this. The snow is glistening like millions of diamonds, it is pretty
I'll have to admit, going outside in it a different story, although over the weekend we had the snowglobe effect those big puffy snowflakes, which fall gently to the earth and covered everything like a Christmas Card. The trees heavy with snow and the red cardinal in contrast were beautiful at the Nature Center this weekend.

Speaking of trees....this is one I made probably 3 years ago now with my hook n yarn. I used a varigated white with cranberry and sage green I found at Pat Catans. Sometimes they have bins there with the mill ends of the yarn, and you'll get 3-4 nice size skeins in a package.

Photo disclaimer " I don't pretend to be a photographer"
sometimes it works and sometimes not, but you all get the idea...

Remember  " A moving hook is a happy hook " !
