Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

Life does imitate nature sometimes..

in my flower bed...another stunner

And so, I wonder if a flower in a garden in 1946 inspired someone to create a pattern such as
Pretty Petals potholder. Bring this   flower into your kitchen by moving your hook.... When I first saw this in my flower bed, I remembered that I had seen a crochet pattern which reminds me of the petals of this gem, and the search was can find it here.
I'm going to fashion one of these babies up, starting this night.....
Happy Hooking to you all....lets make a entire garden of these beauties....

Wow, the flower is awesome! I love the color, too. :) I love flowers, they always make me smile. They bloom even if no one notices, I like that. :)

We really are on the same wave length or something. I just downloaded this pattern on Monday...I want to work it up in size 10 thread like a doily. I think it would be pretty. I can't wait to see yours.
Maybe we need to have a CAL?

Blessings to you always

Faith, I found the pattern with your link on this post. I printed it. So, what is Knit Cro Sheen? Is that a certain size of thread. I read that Stitchy is making hers as a doily with #10 thread. That is the size thread I have. So, I think I will just try this. It is beautiful. What size thread are you using? Using the same color or multiple colors?
