Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

Love these rustic hodge podge kind of things...

We took a ride down to Amish last week, all the conditions were good, boys off from school, and it was a sunny clear day...I saw this at one of the store fronts, it caught my eye.  There is something very eclectic about the use of all these different things which suits my fancy...I especially like the window, and the top portion. All made from odd's and ends what character this piece has...Sure would like to have a place to do something like very rustic and yet...charming..

A question about windows...I bought one a few years back at an antique mall in Amish.. Is there a difference between windows,  these above look like panels of glass or panes, what I have is rather heavy, and looks like it may have been a double hung window....

I use old window frames for my stain glass. I have found that the older the windows, the heavier the glass. But I don't know why.
