Vintage Crochet Lines

About Me

My photo
I'm a lover of vintage times and simple elegance of another era. I'm waiting a while for my special little farmhouse. While I'm waiting, I'm making good use of my time creating lovlies with my crochet hook n thread or yarn, and baking and cooking from scratch for my family.

I pulled this out of the fall decoration box, I'm so pleased with how it turned out, but after 1 year the pieces are coming off the fabric. I used hot glue  Should I re glue, re stiffen maybe tack the item down with stitches?  I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it.  Is there anything which would hold the crochet permanent?
Bloglovin?  That is where alot of folks have gone?  So I signed up myself, only to realize I must have signed up before and forgot.

I've about to put the edging on the 2nd one. Thinking of taking these to Crochet shop in town for consignment.  Batteries for the camera are needed and I can update on the progress of both capelet and ripple ghan.

Enjoy your day.

Have you tried fabric glue? I don't know if it is permanent but that's what I use. Beautiful doily!

Thank you Charlotte, I don't believe I have tried fabric glue, I'll look into it.:)

It's very pretty. :) I think I would stitch the piece down, only because when you wash it, they will stay together. :)

Wishing you a lovely day sweet friend. :)
