Crochet Gingerbread House project

Hello Neighbor !

I've got my cuppa, and we can chit chat over the fence a bit. Looks like rain so putting out anything to flap in the breeze, not an option this morning. Good chance of baking some bread today, we are getting low, made BLT's last night and just about finished up a loaf. What is left I think I'll use for croutons for salad.

I move my hook everyday, what am I working on?  Well, let's see, there is always a prayer shawl in the old hopper, finished up one, and began another. I found a cloth doll I had purchased some time ago, decided to dust her off and do something with her, I had a vintage style crochet potholder dress I made a few moons ago, it fit her, but it's short, so I added some length and some sleeves, the crochet part is done, and now I thought I'd embellish her a little bit.

I found this little gem on line, and knew that I just had to make it.
it is  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO darn cute. This pattern hails from 1985, and can be found in the Better Homes & Garden Christmas Joys to stitch & craft book.  I ordered it from EBAY Thrift Books $3.99 including shipping and handling. Good Service!

I've got the house crocheted, and one door done. I'm going to do all the crochet first, because the pattern has me a bit confused for the assembly of the little gem, I'll work it out, or maybe somebody made one and an  can help out. No worries.  If you are  crocheter of thread, have you visited the Facebook page ?  Here is the link   Threadies give them a look see. It is run by Elizabeth White of Bella Crochet. I've made more than a few of her beautiful patterns.  Come see, maybe you'd like to join up and converse about Thread Crochet...
This little house is dubbed Gingerbread house, I call my the Beach House. I love to crochet using applique of pieces, so 3 dimensional, a different take on thread crochet. Like a painting only using thread.
Well friend, time to get the day started, there is bread to be made, and laundry to do. I'd like to sail into the weekend with some free time. May stop by the local Farmers Market. I'm looking for another Lavender Plant. For the 1st time in I don't know how many years, I actually got Lavender to flower and so I've cut those and they are drying, all 10 stalks. ( Hee-Hee) see why I need another plant.
I love me some Lavender.
Be blessed today and until we talk again.
Keep bakin, hookin, and growin what you love.
